The .info extension is a perfectly good and relevant generic top-level domain. The domain extension is not restricted to specific uses. While .info may not have the panache of .com or the targeted videocentric focus of .TV, it is fairly well recognized and well accepted. You may find a shorter and more relevant .info for a lower investment than a longer and more cumbersome .com.
